About Acacia Talent Partners
A firm built around a specific translation problem.
Acacia Talent Partners specializes in executive search and talent placement at the intersection of government-developed capability and commercial need. We work with employers who need people with judgment, discretion, operational experience, and other capabilities often developed in government service. We also work with professionals from intelligence, national security, the military, diplomacy, law enforcement, government, and related commercial backgrounds who are considering what comes next, whether that is a first move into industry or a later-career transition.
What makes this work difficult is also what makes it interesting. Government-developed capabilities do not always map neatly onto commercial job titles. And once someone has entered industry, the challenge often changes rather than disappears. The résumé language evolves, the career progression becomes less linear, and the most relevant combination of government and commercial experience can be difficult to describe. Acacia exists to bridge that gap for both employers and candidates.
Our Team
The people behind Acacia.
Corey Sinclair
Co-Founder
Corey brings more than a decade of CIA counterterrorism experience and a background in technology, strategic leadership, and organizational development. During his government service, he supported senior-level decision-making, contributed to the President’s Daily Brief, and supported joint counterterrorism operations. In the private sector, Corey has helped build and scale technology-enabled intelligence capabilities, lead multidisciplinary teams, and develop strategic partnerships. He holds a degree from the University of Notre Dame and is a graduate of the U.S. Army School of Advanced Military Studies. At Acacia, he focuses on connecting exceptional talent with organizations tackling complex, mission-critical challenges through trusted, discreet, and lasting partnerships.
Ansel Stein
Co-Founder
Ansel brings more than two decades of experience across intelligence, diplomacy, commercial strategy, and technology. He served as a CIA analyst and manager and as a U.S. Foreign Service Officer, advising senior decision-makers and working across complex international and national-security issues before moving into commercial leadership roles spanning strategy, product development, partnerships, and business growth. He holds an M.A. in International Relations and Religion from Boston University, bachelor’s degrees from Trinity University, and is a graduate of Stanford Graduate School of Business’s Emerging COO Program. At Acacia, he focuses on helping employers recognize capability that may be obscured by nontraditional résumés and helping professionals understand where the full range of their experience can create value next.
What We Stand For
Our Values
Judgment
Good search work requires judgment about people and fit. And about what a role actually demands, not just what the job description says. We bring that judgment to every engagement.
Discretion
The professionals and organizations we work with often require a high degree of privacy. We handle every engagement accordingly, and we do not share information without explicit consent.
Translation
Our core work is translation — helping employers read nontraditional backgrounds clearly, and helping candidates articulate experience that does not fit standard commercial categories.
Relationships
We invest in relationships before a search begins and maintain them after it ends. The value of a network is built over time, not assembled on demand.
