Acacia Talent Partners
Find the capabilitybehind the résumé.
Acacia Talent Partners works on both sides of a translation problem. We help employers recognize exceptional capability in candidates from intelligence, national-security, military, diplomatic, law-enforcement, and government backgrounds. And we help those professionals understand how the capabilities they have built across government and commercial careers can create value in what comes next.
The Problem We Solve
Government-developed capability does not map neatly onto commercial job titles.
Careers in intelligence, diplomacy, or national security can develop commercially valuable capabilities that do not always translate clearly onto a government résumé. Analytical rigor, operational judgment, cross-cultural fluency, the ability to work in ambiguous environments with incomplete information — these are real and transferable. They are also difficult to read in the language of government service.
Employers can miss candidates who could solve their problems. Candidates can overlook roles where their experience would create real value. Acacia exists to close that gap.
Career translation is not a one-time event. As people build commercial experience, the question evolves from "What is the commercial equivalent of my government job?" to "What can I do now, given everything I have learned across both worlds?"
For Employers
You need people who can solve difficult problems. Acacia helps you understand which capabilities matter, identify candidates whose backgrounds may not look conventional, and translate what their experience means for the work you need done.
For Candidates
Careers rarely translate in a straight line. Whether you are preparing to leave government or several roles into your commercial career, Acacia helps you understand the capabilities you have built, where they create value now, and which opportunities might represent a better next fit.
How We Work
We develop relationships before the search begins.
Most executive search starts when an employer has an open role. Acacia works differently. We invest in candidate relationships continuously — not because a specific search is underway, but because the right introduction rarely happens on a deadline. By building relationships continuously, we can begin a search with a better understanding of the talent landscape, including people who may not be actively looking when the right opportunity emerges.
That includes people preparing for their first move out of government as well as experienced commercial professionals quietly considering a second, third, or later transition.
Discretion
This community operates on trust.
Many of the professionals we work with have careers that require ongoing discretion — current employment, security responsibilities, professional relationships, or simply a preference for privacy. Many are already employed and are not publicly looking for another role. We handle every engagement accordingly. Candidate identities are never shared without explicit consent. Employer searches are conducted confidentially when requested. We do not publish names, affiliations, or search details without permission.
